Localized Infrared Heating of Cherry Blossom Fallen Leaves

Aluminum foil was locally irradiated with infrared radiation using a halogen point heater.
Although the irradiated area reached a high temperature, melting did not occur due to the inherently high infrared reflectivity and thermal conductivity of aluminum, resulting in a self-limiting heating behavior.

This demonstration illustrates how material properties govern temperature rise in localized infrared heating processes.
