1-3.How to expressions the moisture in the material

As shown in the figure above, wet material is made up the solid , the liquid and the gas as a gap.

Gas Mass : Mg
Liquid Mass : Ml
Solid Mass : Ms

Gas volume : Vg
Liquid volume : Vl
Solid volume : Vs

There are the following method to represent the water contained in the wet material.

1a. The method expressions the mass ratio of water and dry material.
This Is called the (water content) moisture content of the dry weight reference.

Wd (%) = M l / Ms

1b. The method expressions the mass ratio of water and wet material.
This Is called the (water content) moisture content of the wet weight reference.

Ww (%) = M l / ( Ms + Ml )

2. The method expressions the volume ratio of the gap between the dry material and water.

θ (%) = Vw / V = Vw / ( Vg + Vl + Vs )

3. The method expressions the volume ratio of the gap and water.
This is called the saturation degree.

Sr (%) = Vw / ( Vg + Vw )

Classification by state of the three-phase
The gaseous phase, the liquid phase, the solid phase

Complete drying : Consists of only two phases of solid and gas
Wet material : Consists of three phases of solid ,liquid and gas
Full wet : Consists of only two phases of liquid and solid
