Rapid Melting of Nickel Sheet by Localized Infrared Heating

Using a halogen point heater, infrared radiation was locally applied to a thin sheet of nickel to observe its melting behavior.
Due to the high-intensity focused infrared, the irradiated area quickly reached a high temperature and began to melt rapidly.
This footage demonstrates that even high-melting-point metals like nickel can be rapidly and locally melted using pinpoint infrared heating.
