1. Features of HPH-140

1. Selectable Focal Lengths

Three focusing mirrors with focal lengths of 50 mm, 100 mm, and 200 mm are available. Select the optimum focal length according to your application and the material to be heated.

2. High-Density Localized Heating
The 50 mm focal length focusing mirror concentrates infrared energy into an approximately Ø25 mm spot, achieving high-density localized heating up to approximately 1700°C.
The maximum temperature varies depending on the material, infrared absorptivity, and other conditions of the workpiece.

3. Rapid Heating
Combining a 100 V, 2.5 kW lamp with a 50 mm focal length focusing mirror enables the temperature to reach 1000°C within 5 seconds after heating starts, providing excellent heating response.

4. Suitable for Vacuum Heating
Because it uses infrared heating without combustion, it is suitable for heating in cleanrooms and vacuum environments.
During initial use, a small amount of gas (outgassing) may be released from the inorganic adhesive. Please perform vacuum conditioning in advance.

2. Focus and point size of HPH-140

The heating area can be adjusted by changing the distance from the focal position.

3. Temparature rising time of HPH-140

Shorter focal lengths provide faster heating to higher temperatures.

4. Voltage and lifetime of HPH-140

As shown above, operating at a voltage 10% below the rated voltage extends the design life by approximately 3 times, while operating at 20% below the rated voltage extends it by approximately 9 times.

5. Manual Control Controller → HCV Series

6. Automatic Temperature Control Controller → HHC2 Series

For automatic temperature control of the HPH-140, use the HHC2 Series controller. By combining it with a radiation thermometer or other temperature measurement device, the temperature of the target can be measured and automatically controlled in real time.
